Petunias on table and chairs

Took this shot of my neighbors petunias.  Added an allover texture to it in Photoshop.

Matricia

Did an artistic touch to this perennial.  I believe it belongs to the chrysanthemum family.  Grows as a biennial and readily goes to seed.  It is special to me as I got it from my Mother - believe it or not via her compost. The flowers are semi double and about 1/2 inch across.  Makes a nice cut flower.

Watering Can Art

Borrowed my neighbors water can and placed it among the miniature campanulas and hostas.  Added a script texture to it in Photoshop.  Credit and thanks to Joessistah at Flickr for the texture.

Dragon Wing Begonia

Grew these begonias in pots on our deck.  They are blooming when I buy them from the nursery and bloom till frost.  One of my favorite plants, never bothered by bugs. Used my creative software on this shot to look like an oil crackle painting.

Chive Macro

Created this quote on my own grunge background.  We had a perfect summer, no storms, no hail!  Just kept busy watering as we had a very dry summer.

Perennial grown in my backyard.  They love compost to be dug in around the root area.  Deadhead to keep the plant looking tidy.

Elderberry Tree Blossom

My favorite fast growing large shrub (small tree).  Bonus:  It bears beautiful berries every fall if not pruned the season before. I have two of these growing in our back yard and it rarely is bothered by bugs. Processed in Adobe Photoshop Elements using the Selective Coloring Technique.

I love ferns.  Taken with Canon Rebel DSLR EOS 500D T1i.  To keep them looking green and beautiful add 1 Tablespoon Amonia Cleaner to l gallon of water and apply when ground is wet.

A Shady Corner

I love this corner on our deck to grow plants that like shade such as the yellow non stop begonias, leafy begonia and creeping jenny.  CLICK ON IMAGE TO VIEW IN LARGE.

Lady's Mantel Blossom And Leaves

Did a still life shot with this little bird and Lady's Mantel blossom. This perennial readily goes to seed so I enjoy sharing it with other gardeners.  Once done blooming I cut the entire plant off to about 2  inches above the ground and it grows back as a nice green mound after.  The blossoms have a soft sweet earthy scent and make a nice bouquet.
