A closeup (macro) shot of Tagettes. A small blossomed single petal marigold. I grow this plant in pots. It has fern style leaves with a pungent scent. One of my favorites - blooming till frost. When I bring the nursery plant home I snip off at least one third of the foliage. This gives it a nicer shrub look in the pots.
I love trying new plants. The foliage looked so lush but had no idea what the blossoms would like like. They are the most vibrant blue. I planted this annual in a pot and it bloomed all summer till frost. It grew about 1 1/2 feet high and the foliage had a very pungent smell. I found out later that it belongs to the sage family.
